2013 - 2014 School Supply and School Fee Lists

I know that there are many people out there who start school supply shopping early.  I noticed that our school supply list was not published on our school website, http://www.edline.net/pages/jhmoore, so I am posting it here.

Here are some excerts from a letter that was sent home with students at the end of June:
"89% of parents were in support of the program (school purchasing student supplies) running in the fall.  Modifications have been made to include all student supplies in this fee as requested by parents."

Grade 1 School Supplies:

• 1 plastic water bottle - labelled with name.  (plastic water bottle are more hygenic than plastic cups, and prevent spills in the classroom)
• Book Bag 
• 2 boxes of kleenex
• 1 heavy duty plastic coat hanger - labelled with name
• 1 compete set of extra clothes - socks, pants, undergarments, shirt
• Inside gym shoes - please send runners (not Toms, Bobs, Slippers, Ugg Type Boots).  Please send Velrco type shoes unless your child is able to easily tie their own shoes WITHOUT assistance.  
• 1 box of large Ziploc type bags
• 2 packages of plastic forks (10 in each package)
• 2 packages of plastic spoons (10 in each package)
• 1 hard pencil case - labelled.  Please do not purchase zipper closure pencil cases.

Grade 1 School Fees:

• Supply Fee: $35.00/child
• Student Fee: $25.00/child
• Yearbook Fee (optional): $25.00/yearbook
• Milk Card (optional): $17.00 for 20 cartons of milk
